Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Elevating CHRIST is a digital Christian ministry serving people in Hindi and English. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the Elevating CHRIST ministry. This policy explains what information we collect through elevatingchrist.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We collect as little as we can. We do not sell your information, and we never use it for advertising.
1. Information you give us
Prayer requests. When you send a prayer request through our Contact page, we receive your name, any contact details you choose to give, your answer to whether you are a believer (which is optional), and the message you write. Prayer requests can include personal details about health, family or faith. Please share only what you are comfortable with.
Testimonies. When you share a testimony through our Live Testimony page, we receive your name, any contact details you choose to give, and your testimony. We will only publish a testimony, on this website, YouTube or social media, if you have clearly given us permission, and we may contact you first to confirm. You can ask us to share it without your name.
Member accounts. If you create an account, we receive your email address (to send you a one-time sign-in code) and the details you choose to add: your name, preferred language, an optional WhatsApp number, the sermons, songs and testimonies you save, and which emails you want from us. While signed in, your account page also shows the prayer requests sent with the same email address and whether we have prayed for them.
Emails and WhatsApp. We send you sign-in codes and a short welcome series after you join. We only send the weekly newsletter and the Sunday worship reminder if you switch them on, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can turn either off at any time on your account page. We will only send WhatsApp messages if you give your number and tick the WhatsApp consent box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
We ask for your consent on each form before you submit it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us (see section 9).
2. Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the website, which pages they read, roughly where they are (country and city level), and what kind of device they use. This uses cookies. It helps us see which sermons, songs and testimonies are helping people. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- YouTube videos. Our videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and they only load when you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube (Google) may collect information under its own privacy policy. Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's servers.
- Language preference. If you choose English or Hindi, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Live service status. To show the "Live Now" banner, the website checks our service status from Google Firebase. This check does not include any information about you.
- Server logs. Our website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request, for security and to keep the site running.
3. How we use your information
- To pray for you, and to reply if you asked us to contact you.
- To run your account, and to send the emails (and, with your consent, WhatsApp messages) you have chosen.
- To read, confirm and, with your permission, share testimonies of what God has done.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam or misuse.
4. Where your information is stored and who can see it
Prayer requests and testimonies are sent from the website to our own automation system, saved in a private Google Sheet, and a notification is sent to the ministry team through Telegram so that someone can pray promptly. Member accounts are kept in the same private Google Sheet. Only the small Elevating CHRIST ministry team can see them.
We use these service providers to run the website and handle submissions: Vercel (hosting), Google (Analytics, YouTube, Google Sheets and Firebase), Gmail (sending our emails, including sign-in codes) and Telegram (team notifications). Our social media posts are published through YouTube, Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and Pinterest, as described in section 5. Their servers may be located outside India. We share information only as needed for these services to work, or if we are required to by law.
5. Our social media publishing tools
We publish our own sermons, songs, Bible verses and testimonies to our own accounts on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. To do this we use the official tools those platforms provide (the YouTube Data API, the Meta Graph API and the Pinterest API), connected through our own content calendar and automation system. Every post is prepared and approved by our ministry team before it is published.
- These tools act only on the Elevating CHRIST accounts, with permission we gave by signing in to each platform.
- We do not use them to read, collect or store information about other people, their accounts, boards, pins or posts.
- We keep only the links to our own published posts and the performance figures for our own accounts, to see which messages are helping people.
- We never sell or share data from these platforms, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models. Access keys are stored privately and are never shared.
When you view, like, save or comment on our posts on those platforms, that activity is handled by YouTube, Meta or Pinterest under their own privacy policies.
6. How long we keep it
- Prayer requests are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Testimonies are kept until they are published or declined, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings, for no longer than 14 months.
- Member accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and are never stored with your account.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
7. Children
This website is for a general audience. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending a prayer request or testimony. If we learn that we have received information from a child without a parent's or guardian's permission, we will delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, private storage with limited access, and keeping the address of our submission system hidden from the public. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please avoid sharing highly sensitive details.
9. Your rights and how to contact us
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to: tell you what information we hold about you; correct or update it; delete it; or withdraw your consent. You can also raise a complaint about how your information has been handled.
To do any of these, or for any question about this policy, email us at elevatingjesus@gmail.com. This address is also our contact for grievances. We aim to reply within 30 days.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Please see also our Terms of Use.
